Manufacturing industries are the backbone of the regions economy. Development of this sector started in the 1960 and it has been growing ever since. In this field there has been some cooperation's with other nations such as; Czech and Slovak, Romania, UssR, and Germany. These regions industrial outputs are: foodstuff, Chemicals Non Metal Minerals, Metals, Machinery, Textiles, and Carpets. These outputs are important both for Domestic consumption and for Exports.

Islamic Republic of Iran Social and Economic development plans have created favorable conditions for investments in this region, and private sectors investments in this region continues to expand . From 1989 to 1991 440 million US dollars have been invested.

Also this region offers good potentials for the creation of free trade and Industrial Zones, and seems an ideal partner for making an Economic Cooperation with the Middle Asian Republics.
