JAME MOSQUE


The mosque is one of the most ancient building of Tabriz which was the center of attention during the Ilkanid period. The high altar of the mosque was built in this period. During the rule of ak koyunlu a high tile dome with magnificent calligraphy was built over the mosque on the orders of shah Beigum, wife of ozoun hassan of the Saljug, in the 11th century. it suffered extensive damage in the earthquake of 1673, but was restored during the role of huseeinqoli khan dinbili. next to the mosque are two other famous mosques belonging to the Qajar era ogli mosque and Hojatoleslam mosque.
